Last Saturday it was Military Appreciation Day for the disastrous Clemson / VT game. One bright spot was watching this Apache land and takeoff from the campus. Jack really liked it!

During the heat wave a few weekends ago we went to Boone, NC to cool off a bit. Annaka and Jack had a great time at Tweetise railroad. We spent all day there without any breaks. Mom and Dad were just as tired as the kids.

960 People can't be Wrong

I have uploaded lots of videos in the last six month to Google Video. It's interesting to review the number of times a video has been played. A video of Annaka Irish dancing is the favorite and has been viewed 960 times. I can not believe it.

So, take a break, enjoy a classic video, and maybe with your help the video will reach 1,000 hits and my life will complete.

The Birthday Chair

Annaka got a special birthday celebration at dance class last week. She got to sit in the birthday chair.

Mission Possible : Another Geocaching Adventure

We went geocaching again this Saturday. It really was just an excuse to get outside and enjoy this nice "winter" weather. I actually remembered to bring the videocamera this time and was able to take enough footage to create a little movie. The music is cheese, but it was fun organizing the clips around the music.

Quiet Moments

Annaka and Jack are really starting to play together. Dad captured this really well in his short video. They were sharing stickers in Jack's new Thomas the Train tent.

Sometimes in the quiet moments of our house, I have found Annaka and Jack in a room playing or sharing a book. In other quiet moments, I discovered mischief. My favorite of this month was the time I caught Annaka teaching Jack how to use the bathroom. I found Jack naked sitting on the toilet stuffing it with toilet paper. I guess I was sleeping on the job.

The Mini-van Bandit

In tribute to the one minute movie trailers, I clipped some misc. clips together to create Jack's own movie trailer. Not sure what the subject of the movie or the title would be. One thought for the title was "the mini-van bandit".

Handbells

Annaka performed at church tonight. This has to be the youngest handbell choir ever assembled under one roof.

Checkmark for the Sandbox

We finally finished a sandbox eight months in the making. I bought all the materials and hauled everything up our hill last spring. With perfect weather and no more excuses, I spent yesterday actually building it. Kids love it.


Notice, Tchaika in the background of the video. She has an obsessive compulsive disorder with the chipmunks in our yard. There is a chipmunk hole above the sandbox that she is constantly monitoring.

Better Days

It's been awhile since I have gone through any of our video. One evening I edited this short movie from about three months of video. We have not been taking as much video lately but its always fun to go through and remember some of the things we have taped.
